Pressure Sensitive Adhesive can be applied to sheets, rolls, and stripping. ANR utilizes a variety of adhesive types including hot melt adhesives, water-based acrylic emulsions, both supported and unsupported dry-film adhesives, and solvent-based contact adhesives. Supported adhesives utilize a thin polyester mylar which is coated with pressure sensitive adhesive on both sides. This mylar provides improved dimensional stability and allows for different adhesive systems to be applied to either side.
ANR adhesives are protected by various coated release papers ranging from a light kraft paper to heavy cardboard liners. These liners are easily removed when ready to apply to the designated surface. Some liners offer the added advantage of "kiss cutting" capabilities.
Adhesives should only be applied to clean, dry surfaces. Grease and oil should be removed with solvents prior to application. The surface temperature should be no less than 60 degrees Fahrenheit when applying the adhesive coating.
